to Expand its European Presence for Systems and Embedded Computing
Solutions
Acoutronic to sell Themis Computer's next
generation servers and single-board computers into government
and communications markets
FREMONT, California -- August
28, 2003 - Themis Computer announced the selection
of Acoutronic to sell its extended operating environment server
and single-board computers into government, aerospace, communications,
and embedded systems markets. Headquartered in Lidingo, Sweden,
Acoutronic will sell Themis systems, VMEbus and cPCI computer,
and graphics solutions throughout Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Acoutronic will sell Themis' new UltraSPARC® III-based
VME bus computer and dual-processor servers that feature the
fast new processor technologies from Sun® Microsystems
and Intel®. Themis' rugged family of COTS servers provide
users high performance with features that include: RAID hardware
controllers, InfiniBand® technology that transparently
bridge PCI over InfiniBand connections when used with Themis'
rugged TPX-4 PCI expansion systems, and configurations to
meet unique requirements. Designed to survive in excess of
20G shock and vibration, Themis servers offer outstanding
platform performance, dependability and value, for use in
harsh environments. Acoutronic will also sell Themis' new
VMEBus and CompactPCI families of UltraSPARC-based board products,
the highest performance rugged single-board computers available
today. Compatible with the Sun Solaris Operating Environment,
the industry's leading Unix operating system, Themis' single-board
computers enable users to access thousands of off-the-shelf
Solaris software solutions.
