The RES-12DCX-2.5™, a 1Rack Unit (1RU) Dual-Processor server, combines the robust design of the Rugged Enterprise Server (RES) family with the latest low-power, low-voltage, quad core Intel® Xeon® processors. This new system combines quad-core Intel Xeon processors with Themis’ advanced thermal and mechanical design techniques. The rugged, expandable RES-12DCX-2.5 reflects Themis' extensive expertise in designing high performance systems for use in demanding operating environments.

The RES-12DCX-2.5 chassis packs up to eight cores of processor power into a compact footprint. Three 2.5 inch disk drive bays can provide up to 1.5TB of storage. Two expansion slots enable I/O configurability. The RES-12DCX-2.5 brings state-of-the art server technology to demanding environments with its small size, rugged construction, and multi-core processors.

The RES-12DCX-2.5 can be configured with one or two Intel Xeon 5300 or low-power 5400 quad core Series Processors. Featuring two flexible expansion slots, extensive high speed I/O, and multiple storage options the RES-12DCX-2.5 allows users versatile configurability and system expansion. The RES-12DCX-2.5 is easily expanded through the addition of commercially available, off the shelf networking cards, I/O, peripherals and other value-added options to meet current and future system requirements.

To ensure reliable operation in harsh environments, Themis designed the new systems to withstand shock loads of 20G @ 20ms to deliver outstanding performance, flexibility and reliability.
