Themis’ RES-12XR3™ 1 Rack Unit (1RU) servers in two chassis depths, combines the robust design of the Rugged Enterprise Server (RES) family with the latest 5500 and 5600 series Intel® Xeon® processors. The rugged RES-12XR3 reflects Themis’ extensive expertise designing high performance systems for use in demanding environments. This new system combines the Intel four and six core Xeon processors with Themis’ advanced thermal and mechanical design techniques to achieve I/O configuration flexibility and high reliability in shock and vibration environments of up to 35G.

The RES-12XR3 can be configured with one or two Intel Xeon 5500 or 5600 Series Processors. Featuring multiple expansion slots, extensive high speed I/O, and multiple storage options the RES-12XR3 allows users versatile configurability and system expansion. The RES-12XR3 is easily expanded through the addition of commercially available, off the shelf networking cards, I/O, peripherals and other value-added options to meet current and future system requirements.

Advanced server features include:

- Three (3) 2.5-inch lockable and hot swappable drives that provide up to 1.5TB storage
- Hot swappable fans
- Redundant, hot swappable AC or DC power supplies
- Front panel filter door option, NEBS particulate filter media

To ensure reliable operation in harsh environments, Themis designed the new systems to withstand shock loads of 35G @ 25ms to deliver outstanding performance, flexibility and reliability.
